ECO CLUB VAN MAHOTSAV
Yuvashakti Model School, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi organised Van Mahotsav festival between 2nd July to 7th July 2018. The programme was initiated with the lighting of earthen lamp by our Honourable Principal Shri Harinder Kumar, Headmaster Shri Lalit Vikram Sheetal, Middle Wing Incharge Smt. Meena Puri and primary wing Incharge Smt. Neena Bhardwaj followed by Tulsi Vandana.
During the week, students from different classes presented their ideas on Van Mahotsav under the guidance of Eco-Club Incharge Smt. Rama Babry and associates Smt. Rekha Rastogi, Smt. Radha Rani Pathak, Miss Charu Kakkar and Smt. Sonia Chawla. On the closing ceremony, students preformed a play on the topic on ‘Importance of Trees’. Students were given participation certificate by our honourable Principal sir, Headmaster sir and Incharges to boost their moral.
The programme concluded with the sapling plantation ceremony by Honourable Principal Shri Harinder Kumar and Headmaster Shri Lalit Vikram Sheetal.
MOCK FIRE DRILL
On 25th July 2018 (Wednesday) Yuvashakti Model School, Sector-3, Rohini, organised a Mock Drill for the students of classes VI to XII to make them aware of ‘Fire and its hazards’. It was carried out in association with personnel from Delhi Fire Services and staff of Delhi Police.
Volunteers from Delhi Police gave the talk about types of fire, fire extinguishers, how to be calm and composed during any fire outset.
Representatives from Delhi Fire Service gave live demonstration of ways and methods used by them to put off fire by sprinkling water from their brigade to tell about the range/area covered, use of fire extinguisher also detailed.
It was a very helpful activity for the students which made them aware and cautions about many queries related to fire.
WORKSHOP BY WINKLES
A workshop was organised by the school for Primary Wing classes II & III on 25th July 2018. Winkles team came to school for the promotion of their cakes. The winkle’s cake were of different flavours. They were celebrating “Har Din Mother’s Day’. The team distributed chocolates cakes to all the students and teachers. The students were overjoyed to have delicious chocolate packs as gifts.
PRIMARY WING EXHIBITION
On July 28th 2018 the students of classes II to V of Primary Wing displayed their innovative skills through holiday home work activities. Models of different kinds of houses, pocket dictionaries, wall hangings and other art and craft work. The exhibition was witnessed by Principal Sir Mr. Harinder Kumar and Primary Wing Incharge Ms. Neena Bhardwaj. All the parents appreciated the efforts of the students and wished them a grand success.
WORKSHOP BY POGO
A workshop on “Active Kids Immuno Boosters” by POGO was organised on 31st July 2018 for the primary wing. It was conducted to make the students aware about their health fitness. The students were involved in some fun activities by the POGO team members. The students had a great time.
An Immuno booster chocolate and a Himalaya care toothpaste were distributed to students.
Students enjoyed such fun based workshop.
WORKSHOP : VALUE EDUCATION
YMS, Sector-3, Rohini organised a workshop on value education in association with ISKCON Temple on 7th August 2018 (Tuesday).
Students were told what value education is, its importance and use in daily life as well as for holistic development of a student.
It was knowledge based attitude improvement workshop which aimed at motivating students for a better tomorrow.
YUVASTREET – PROGRAM ON JANMASTHMI & RAKSHA BANDHAN
A colourful programme ‘Yuva Street’ was celebrated by class II students on the occasion of Janmasthmi and Raksha Bandhan in the school auditorium. Janamasthmi – the birth of Lord Krishna and Raksha Bandhan – the festival of Love, Care and Promise of a brother to his sister was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The programme started by lighting the lamp by the chief guest Mr. Mani Bhushan Malhotra, Deputy Secretary Govt. of Delhi. The other prestigious guest was Mr. Vijay Sharma the Chairman of the school and other dignitaries were Mr. Tagore Babry and Mr. Surender Kumar. The students displayed some amazing items like Bhajan, yoga, Orchestra, Fashion show and many more. The event culminated with a round of applause.
